Coiled Tubing Engineering

Duration: 4.5 hours with a certificate of comprehension upon completion

Course Description
This course provides an introduction to coiled tubing as a tool for intervention operations. It includes an overview of the coiled tubing manufacturing process and the mechanical properties of coiled tubing, as well as discussion of downhole tools and their different functions. A significant portion of this course covers the mechanical performance of the tubing which includes: stress and force limits, buckling, ballooning and fatigue. Examples of actual fatigue test and well analysis data are used for the comprehensive questions.

This is an advanced course for engineers who want an improved understanding of critical issues related to successful CT field operations.

Introduction to Well Intervention 

Course Description
The introduction to well intervention course provides a thorough look at the well intervention industry as a whole. The course highlights the many different methods of intervention, including an overview of wireline, workover, bullheading, snubbing and coiled tubing operations. Pictures and descriptions of the equipment needed for rig up, pressure control, and downhole tool deployment are provided as well.

This is an introductory course for new comers into the intervention industry, or personnel that would like a thorough refresher course.
